Man Suspected Of Fatally Shooting Fiancé's Father At South Mass Home: DA

Two men are dead and two women are injured following a suspected murder-suicide at a South Massachusetts home, authorities said.

The shooting occurred at 511 Bank Street in Fall River just after 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III said on Twitter

The suspected shooter, identified as a 25-year-old Christopher Jean Baptiste, allegedly shot and killed his fiancé's father, 68-year-old Hubert Labasquin, before shooting his fiancé's sister and mother. Baptiste then turned the gun on himself, Quinn said. 

Both women, who are 59 and 25 years old, were taken to area hospitals for treatment and are expected to survive, Quinn said. Quinn said there is no threat to the public. 

The investigation is ongoing.
